The Future of Computer Vision & Medical Imaging with AI

DOCSF22- Session 1

Welcome to the 2022 Digital Orthopaedics Conference San Francisco (DOCSF). DOCSF 2022 was held April 28-29, 2022 in San Francisco. During the event, we explored the Future of Orthopaedics by unpacking and explaining how technologies such as the various subsets of AI (Machine Learning, Computer Vision, etc.), and the relevant applications of technologies (such as Blockchain and Extended Reality) will impact care models in the year 2037.

The below session includes Welcoming Remarks provided by DOCSF22 Hosts, Stefano Bini (DOCSF/ UCSF) and Shawna Butler (DOCSF/ See You Now Podcast). In this first hour, Stefano and Shauna, our moderators, welcomed everyone back after two years of virtual events and lead us through some fun exercises to reconnect.

Following the opening remarks is the “The Future of Computer Vision and Medical Imaging with AI” presented by Gary Bradski (OpenCV.ai) and Niccolo’ Stefani (Philips). Artificial Intelligence is such a hot buzzword in 2022! In the future, AI will so ubiquitous, that we simply assume it is there, in the background, doing its magic, all the time. And, lo and behold, it will not replace any of us!  During this session, we will review some key applications of AI and how they will impact Digital Health’s trajectory with companies like Philips showing the way.
